Genesis 39:7-10
New International Version
7 and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!”(A)
8 But he refused.(B) “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care.(C) 9 No one is greater in this house than I am.(D) My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”(E) 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused(F) to go to bed with her or even be with her.
Nehemiah 4:9
New International Version
9 But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.
Job 31:1
New International Version
Job 31:5-17
New International Version
5 “If I have walked with falsehood
or my foot has hurried after deceit(A)—
6 let God weigh me(B) in honest scales(C)
and he will know that I am blameless(D)—
7 if my steps have turned from the path,(E)
if my heart has been led by my eyes,
or if my hands(F) have been defiled,(G)
8 then may others eat what I have sown,(H)
and may my crops be uprooted.(I)
9 “If my heart has been enticed(J) by a woman,(K)
or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door,
10 then may my wife grind(L) another man’s grain,
and may other men sleep with her.(M)
11 For that would have been wicked,(N)
a sin to be judged.(O)
12 It is a fire(P) that burns to Destruction[a];(Q)
it would have uprooted my harvest.(R)
13 “If I have denied justice to any of my servants,(S)
whether male or female,
when they had a grievance against me,(T)
14 what will I do when God confronts me?(U)
What will I answer when called to account?(V)
15 Did not he who made me in the womb make them?(W)
Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?(X)

Job 31:19-34
New International Version
19 if I have seen anyone perishing for lack of clothing,(A)
or the needy(B) without garments,
20 and their hearts did not bless me(C)
for warming them with the fleece(D) from my sheep,
21 if I have raised my hand against the fatherless,(E)
knowing that I had influence in court,(F)
22 then let my arm fall from the shoulder,
let it be broken off at the joint.(G)
23 For I dreaded destruction from God,(H)
and for fear of his splendor(I) I could not do such things.(J)
24 “If I have put my trust in gold(K)
or said to pure gold, ‘You are my security,’(L)
25 if I have rejoiced over my great wealth,(M)
the fortune my hands had gained,(N)
26 if I have regarded the sun(O) in its radiance
or the moon(P) moving in splendor,
27 so that my heart was secretly enticed(Q)
and my hand offered them a kiss of homage,(R)
28 then these also would be sins to be judged,(S)
for I would have been unfaithful to God on high.(T)
29 “If I have rejoiced at my enemy’s misfortune(U)
or gloated over the trouble that came to him(V)—
30 I have not allowed my mouth to sin
by invoking a curse against their life(W)—
31 if those of my household have never said,
‘Who has not been filled with Job’s meat?’(X)—
32 but no stranger had to spend the night in the street,
for my door was always open to the traveler(Y)—
33 if I have concealed(Z) my sin as people do,[a]
by hiding(AA) my guilt in my heart
34 because I so feared the crowd(AB)
and so dreaded the contempt of the clans
that I kept silent(AC) and would not go outside—
